I’m not going back to Delacroix My hands are shaking I have been forsaken I don’t need your money I don’t need that noise I’m not going back To Delacroix I’m not getting back on that causeway again My truck is worn out My anguish borne out What makes a man Turn his back on a friend I’m not getting back On that causeway again There comes a time when a man must look back There comes a time when a man must face fact Sequela you must pay the price The consequence of rolling the dice There comes a time when a man must look back There comes a time when a man must face fact Sequela you must pay the price The consequence of rolling the dice I’m not going back to Delacroix My hands are shaking I have been forsaken I don’t need your money I don’t need that noise I’m not going back To Delacroix

A storm is coming Wind will blow May be end times We’d never know I’ve seen the sky grow black in the heat of the day I’ve seen the rain wash the hard times away I hammered the highway for a million miles Worked the trades for a little while There are things a man sees Things a man feels There’s nothing like the sound of steel on steel Steel on steel I asked the fortune teller How did she know About the north wind and the buffalo About the cards I was dealt in the Glendive saloon She said darkness is coming and it’s coming soon I hammered the highway for a million miles Worked the trades for a little while There are things a man sees Things a man feels There’s nothing like the sound of steel on steel Steel on steel Steel on steel Steel on steel

Watch your mouth Watch your step Mind your business by and by Take a good Look around Smell the trees and paint the sky Watch your mouth Watch your step Sometimes it’s good to let it slide Everyone around you has lost their minds Keep your powder dry Find a place A place of love A place to call your own Light the fire Warm your toes Contemplate the great unknown Watch your mouth Watch your step Sometimes it’s good to take the ride Everyone around you has lost their minds Keep your powder dry Spread your wings Your mighty wings Bring the low things high Spread your wings Your mighty wings Bring the low things high Find the things That make you smile Keep them close at hand Keep the Great Spirit On the line You are but a grain of sand Watch your mouth Watch your step Sometimes it’s good to step outside Everyone around you has lost their minds Keep your powder dry Spread your wings Your mighty wings Bring the low things high Amplify

Let’s go get a burger, baby Let’s go down to Fat Hat’s Grill Been working hard, it’s time to party It’s much too quiet up here on the hill Gonna’ mow down, gonna’ throw down See the bright lights of downtown Take a rocket ride on power glide Hit the riptide on the flip side Let’s go get a burger, baby And some fries Say what we want Say we will

Levee 07:45
Let your light shine I’ll take care of mine Make your peace with the rising sun Oh, let your light shine There is no fear Out on the levee First is last There is no past Come and lay hands For this golden land Spirits gather in the roiling mist Come and lay hands There is no fear Out on the levee First is last There is no past There is no fear Let your light shine Out on the levee I’ll take care of mine First is last Make your peace with the rising sun There is no past Let your light shine

about

The core of this music is electronic. That said, some of it has the aroma of analogue, organic matter. Sometimes that is intentional; sometimes not.
There are effectively two separate parts to this collection. In simple terms, the first part sounds more like electronica and the second part is more rootsy....some of maybe has folk vibe.
At the halfway point there i a song called "Nexus" that is the bridge between the two.
The name "The Funkatronic Jazzatopia" came about as an attempt to manufacture a simple, memorable phrase that captures the essence of my music for branding purposes. It may miss that mark but, I like the way it sounds.
