There is a George Harrison song called “The Inner Light” which was inspired by “Tao Te Ching”. It has this lyric:
"Without going out of your door
You can know all things on earth
Without looking out of your window
You can know the ways of heaven"

I remember hearing that during a turbulent time in my life and for some reason, the idea that one could know all that was needed without opening a window really impacted me. That thought has stuck with me but, in addition to it, I think that if you have a window, why not look out?

And of course, the window is a two way affair so on could maybe shout whatever they like out of the window and, who knows maybe reach someone passing by.

The computers are the windows to world. We absorb knowledge from what we take in and spew forth content going out. There is a lot of attention given to what people do and say on social media platforms but given that music is an ancient, effective yet often abstract form of communication, the stuff coming from the machines that enable music making and distribution is a lot more interesting.

That’s where my head was when making these two tracks.
