These two songs are the end of a cycle. I work in groups of tens. When I have ten that I like, I start doing all of the detail stuff - final mixes, mastering, paperwork etc. Then, I start releasing them. So, when the song is coming out, it's usually several months later and I'm on to different things but with each release, there's a bit of short term time travel. This particular pair of songs represents a sort of closure. When I was at the later stage of recording this cycle of songs I got the news that my younger brother, Jim (JCP), had died really unexpectedly and so, there's a lot of bittersweet feelings when I hear these back.
