This music was all written during a roughly three week period in December, 2021.
It was not my intention to make an album length presentation. In fact, I had made a vow to only release singles (one or two songs at a time) going forward.
But, I started coming in to my little studio, with my coffee, in the morning and punching out tracks. Pretty soon I had a handful of things and I figured I’d just come up with another handful and put the all the songs out at once since stuff was moving at a rapid place.
Then, over the holidays, I started casually listening and found little things I wanted to add, sweeten, take away etc. This process went on far longer than I expected.
There are electronic elements on every track; looping, sample chopping, synths.
There are also a lot of instances where I kept what I did when I was doing a first run play through with a track rather than taking an idea and cleaning it up. Sometimes one has to keep little mistakes in order to also keep some freshness.
